Research Use Policy

This page sets out the terms on which Precision Labs Research supplies its products, what those products are and are not, and what you confirm by placing an order. It applies to every product on this site, at every quantity, without exception.

Laboratory research use only

All products supplied by Precision Labs Research are supplied strictly for laboratory research use only — in-vitro and non-human research, scientific investigation, and analytical or industrial work carried out by people qualified to do it.

They are not for human or veterinary consumption. More specifically, the products sold here:

are not drugs, medicines, supplements, therapeutics, food or medical devices;
are not approved by Health Canada, or by any other regulator, for human or animal use;
are not supplied for the diagnosis, treatment, cure, mitigation or prevention of any condition;
are not sterile pharmaceutical preparations, and are not manufactured to be administered to a person or an animal.

No medical or therapeutic claims are made

Product pages on this site describe what a compound has been studied for. That wording is deliberate. It is a plain-language summary of what published laboratory research has examined, so a buyer can find the compound they are looking for without decoding an acronym. It is a description of the literature and not a claim that the product produces any result, in a person, in an animal, or at all.

Where studies are referenced, they are provided so the published work can be read in full. They describe laboratory research and are not evidence of a therapeutic effect.

No employee or representative of Precision Labs Research is authorised to advise on dosing, schedules, routes of administration, or human or veterinary use, and we do not provide that information. Requests for it are declined rather than answered privately. Questions about handling the material as a laboratory reagent — storage, reconstitution, sterile technique — are answered, and are covered on the Storage & Handling page.

Who may order

By placing an order you confirm that:

you are 19 years of age or older;
you are a qualified professional, researcher or entity, with the knowledge and training required to handle research materials safely;
you will use every product strictly for lawful research purposes;
you will not use, or allow anyone else to use, any product for human consumption, animal administration, or any medical or therapeutic application.

The site asks you to confirm your age on entry, and the confirmation is repeated at checkout alongside a research-use acknowledgement. Both are required before an order can be completed. They are a legal control, not a formality.

Our right to refuse an order

Precision Labs Research reserves the right to refuse any order, to cancel an order, to limit quantities, or to withhold fulfilment, at our sole discretion — in particular where there is any concern about improper or unauthorised use. Orders are verified before dispatch.

Buyer responsibility

On delivery, responsibility for the material passes to you. You are responsible for its storage, handling, use and disposal, and for doing all of that safely and lawfully.

Compliance. You are responsible for complying with every law and regulation that applies where you are, including any rule governing the possession, use, import or onward transfer of research chemicals.
Onward supply. Products must not be resold, transferred or supplied to anyone for human or veterinary use, or repackaged or relabelled in a way that misrepresents what they are.
Records. Keep the lot code with your records. It is what ties a result back to a tested batch, and it is the only way to identify material after the carton is gone.
Disposal. Dispose of vials, sharps and unused material through your institution’s laboratory waste procedure and in line with local regulations.

Certificates of analysis

Every batch is assayed before it is labelled, and the certificate of analysis published for a lot describes that tested lot only. It is not a specification for the compound in general, not a guarantee about any other lot, and not a statement about suitability for any particular purpose. No warranty of fitness

Products are supplied as research materials. Beyond the analytical results published for the lot supplied, no representation is made and no warranty is given as to their suitability for any particular experiment, application or purpose. Determining fitness for your work is your responsibility.

If you cannot agree to these terms

Do not order, and do not use anything already supplied. If material has already been received and these terms are not acceptable, contact us before doing anything else.
